The Holiday Season

Oh, the Holiday season! It’s in full swing and Christmas is only two (one and a half) days away. Christmas Eve is TOMORROW! I’m so excited to spend this years’ Christmas in my new family home, with my family, enjoying the food and the festive times. Also, I was so ready for this Christmas break and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest!

Long time no post, school was super busy and I was seriously struggling to manage everything. Even though December is my favourite season of the year and I completely live up to Christmas during this month, the stress for school was insane. However, I did manage to cramp in my Christmas movies, do my Christmas shopping during Black Friday, and listen to a crazy amount of Christmas music: it was a good month.

Christmas Eve is tomorrow and I feel like this is a night where you just hang-out and almost feel bored? I wanted to give you some tips to make this years’ Christmas Eve one of the best in years and how to fully enjoy the night before Christmas!

Merry Christmas

Host the perfect dinner

You can’t start your Christmas Eve without it having a nice dinner! We are keeping it simple this year, but I would have loved to do an intense dinner with three courses. Next year, I promise! I love that the dinners during Christmas start later and can take hours before everyone finishes, especially when you have three or more courses.

I love baking but I hardly ever do it!! Christmas Eve is such a cosy evening which makes it perfect to start baking the best cookies EVER. Christmas shaped cookies are obviously the way to go, but chocolate chip cookies are great as well.

Christmas movie marathon

Obvivously, what else are you going to watch on Christmas Eve? Who does not watch Christmas movies during Christmas? This is the perfect evening to have a Christmas movie marathon and enjoy it to the fullest before the hectic of Christmas day! I’m sure everyone has their favourite Christmas movie and mine are super basic: I absolutely love the Polar Express, it’s such a childish movie but that’s what makes it fun for me. The Christmas Chronicles is the best movie of this year because it has, to me, the Christmas vibe all over it without it being the typical cheesy romantic Christmas movie. However, I do love me some cheesy romantic movies during Christmas so Love Actually and The Christmas Prince are some of my faves as well.

Hot chocolate

Hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and Christmas movies: it does not get any better than this!

Hot chocolate

If you’re like me and have had the craziest December: you did not have a lot of time to catch up on everyone’s Vlogmas. However, Christmas to me is being around family so I don’t suggest actually doing this on Christmas Eve but watch it in the hours between activities and all that stuff. I’m trying to catch up on Zoë’s  Vlogmas, Michelle’s Vlogmas and Abby’s Vlogmas.

Festive activities outside

If you want to get out of the house, see what’s going on outside! There must be carols outside, a service in the church, a night of ice skating or there’s a festive film at the cinema!

I wish you all the best Christmas and I hope you’ll enjoy the time with your loved ones! I will see you after Christmas with a new blog post.

Hot chocolate and Christmas movie is what I would definitely do. However, this year I surprised even myself. I haven’t seen not a single Christmas movie. Oh well, I guess it’s never too late.
