It’s November. It’s sort-of turning into winter. The days get darker, gloomier and colder. Even though I love this time of year, sometimes we all need a little travel inspiration to get out of our daily routine and to switch up our mindset from these gloomy days to the adventurous days. Here’s the fall/early winter edition of travel inspiration!
I love to write longer blog post and absolutely pour my heart and soul in the blog posts but sometimes, as a blog reader myself, I do like to just read shorter posts and look at the photos in the blogpost. This one is a bit shorter than my usual blog posts, but I do have two longer blog posts coming your way on Wednesday and next Saturday!

We all know the photos of New York during the winter: it’s absolutely magical. We all know the photos of the escape to the gorgeous Maldives. And we all know the lovely photos of the reindeers in Norway. I had to include these in the travel post. However, it’s so much more fun to explore new destinations so I did try to find some new and special locations.
I feel like Edinburgh got more and more popular in the last couple of years, but it’s definitely still not as crowded as London (for example). However, it’s going to get more crowded in the upcoming years! Edinburgh looks amazing during the winter and Christmas time, but it’s definitely a nice destination to visit in the fall.
New York City, United States.
If we’re talking about bucket list destinations: New York is definitely at the top of my bucket list and I’m always so excited to hear peoples stories after they have visited The Big Apple! I’m trying to plan New York into my travel and life schedule and most of all: into my budget. My goal is to have visited NYC in 2019 or in 2020!
Mont St. Michel, France.
This little island in France is a magical place for any photographer. This island is surrounded by water when the tide comes out, but you can walk to the island when the tide recedes! My parents actually visited this place last year during the spring/summer.
The Maldives is one big dreamy place of gorgeous islands. The choice is all yours obviously, pick the one you love and like the most because there is definitely an island that suits anyone’s dreams and wishes! Let’s go to the gorgeous blue sea and paradise-like views.
Norway has 23 areas where you can find the wildlife of the reindeer population. I didn’t look for a specific place, because the 23 areas are pretty much all over Norway so it’s easy to combine the reindeer sightseeing with other activities in Norway! It doesn’t matter where you go, Norway is gorgeous either way.
In Jukkasjarvi (needed to respell this name twice) is the ice hotel located. This hotel is only open during the winter time, and as it says, it is an ice hotel. If you’re not afraid of the cold and if you love the Scandinavian vibes: Jukkasjarvi is definitely a destination to please your wishes! Almost everything in this hotel is made out of ice, including the beds.
One of the first things you’d think of when you hear Iceland is either Reykjavik or the Blue Lagoon. Iceland has so much more to offer than these two special destinations. Vatnajökull is the largest glacier, it looks like another world and if you really want to walk around in a winter wonderland: visit Vatnajökull and you will definitely feel like you’re walking in a winter wonderland!
I love writing travel inspiration posts, because it just gives me so much inspiration and travel excitement! During these last two months of 2018 (how crazy?!) I might go to Vienna or London, but I haven’t booked anything yet so I’m not sure. It’s so much fun to start planning your next trip though, so please share your next destination!
