5 Must-Visit Beaches in Mallorca on the East and West Coast

If you ever look up photos and videos from Mallorca, one of the first things you will see are the incredible beaches. It is one of the things the island is known for, rightfully so. The east coast of the island is especially the place to be for the beaches or, as they are called in Spanish, cala’s. These are 5 breathtaking beaches in Mallorca to visit on the east and west coast!
The east coast of Mallorca is one of the prettiest places to visit on the Spanish island. It is one of the things I love about the island, while it also has the rural side in the mountains on the west coast. The diversity makes this island right for basically everyone!
5 Must-Visit Beaches in Mallorca on the East and West Coast
Font de Sa Cala
More towards the north-east coast is where you will find Font de Sa Cala. A small village with an incredible view and bay in the center of the village. Small kids were jumping into the sea from the rocks, laughing and playing. If you would like to escape the people on the beach, go walk on the left side through the trees to the rocks. You will not only find children playing on this side, but it is also a quieter spot if you climb over the rocks. Sit right next to the water edge and enjoy the sound of the waves.
Cala Figuera
I feel like this one cannot be missed on this list of beaches in Mallorca, but it is definitely a more crowded beach. The parking at this beach is not free and it can get seriously crowded. However, the beach itself and the water are both absolutely incredible. Not a beach I would pick myself (because of how popular it is) but I still wanted to share it with you.

Cala Llombards
Probably the most photogenic cala of the entire island and certainly of this list. The old houses along the bay, the large rocks and the crystal blue water all make it a postcard you can’t forget. You’re going to find Cala Llombards on the south east coast of Mallorca, just under Cala Figuera. This cala also has a path along the bay which brings you to the quieter side with the trees and rocks.
Cala Varques
A bit different compared to the other ones – this one does not have the typical look of a cala like Cala Llombards has. Cala Varques has a beach with more rocks and you’ll find rocks all around it. It reminds me a bit about Broken Beach on Nusa Penida. Definitely wear good shoes, you will have to do about 20-30 minutes of walking before you reach this beach.

Caló des Borgit
A heavenly, tiny beach with pine trees that offer shade, crystal blue water perfect for snorkeling, a small restaurant for your drinks and food and the sand even has a pink touch to it. Honestly, if you are to choose one from this list of beaches in Mallorca: Caló des Borgit is the one to pick. It is located in a green area which is why you’ll find the pine trees here.
Hidden gem tip
All of these can get more crowded during the high season because the east coast is definitely popular for the beaches and the cala’s are always very narrow so there isn’t lots of space. Definitely go on a road trip if you want to find the hidden beaches where you’re most likely not going to find anyone. Drive along the east coast or go to the west coast and find the beaches over there. The secret ones on the west side cannot be found on Google Maps so keep your eyes out when you’re driving here.
